White Nickel Ranch: Reflecting on 2024
As we step into the New Year, we can’t help but reflect on what an incredible year 2024 has been at White Nickel Ranch. This past year has been one of growth, hard work, and countless memorable moments that have brought our ranch community closer together.
We began 2024 with a vision to enhance our facilities, and thanks to the dedication of our team and the support of our community, we accomplished so much. New pastures and loafing sheds were added to provide even more comfort and care for the horses we cherish. We built a giant round pen, creating a spacious and safe area for training and groundwork. We also “cow-proofed” the arena with new paneling, making it ready for all our cow work events.
Speaking of events, 2024 was packed with learning opportunities and fun! We hosted cow clinics, dressage clinics, and equine first aid clinics that brought together riders and horse lovers of all backgrounds. Each clinic was a chance to deepen our horsemanship and bond as a community.
Our YEDA and TNSHA teams shined bright this year, competing in events across the region and consistently bringing home top awards. Their success is a testament to the hard work of our riders and the excellent training programs here at the ranch. We are immensely proud of what they’ve achieved and can’t wait to see what 2025 holds for our show teams.
This year, we also welcomed new horses and boarders into the White Nickel Ranch family, strengthening our community even further. Perhaps the most exciting addition of all was baby Nora, Katie and Cade’s first child. Nora has already stolen our hearts and is showing early signs of catching the horse bug—no surprise there!
Of course, we can’t forget the highlight of our year, our annual barn party. This year’s gathering was the biggest and best yet, with more White Nickel Ranch members than ever before coming together to celebrate. The sense of camaraderie and shared passion for horses was truly inspiring.
As we look ahead to 2025, we’re filled with excitement and anticipation. The show season is just around the corner, and we’ll be sharing schedules soon. Beyond the arena, we have plenty of exciting plans and projects in the works, so stay tuned for more updates.
